The People Behind the Dublin Seminar

The principal founder of the Dublin Seminar was Peter Benes. With his wife, Jane Montague Benes, and in some years their children, Peter organized the conferences for many years and produced the Publications volumes. Read more about Peter Benes here.

The Dublin Seminar for New England Folklife, Inc., is a non-profit foundation incorporated in the state of New Hampshire. (Legally, it is a 509(a)(1) private foundation, a type of 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.) These are our officers, board members, and committee volunteers as of spring 2022, serving one- to three-year terms.
