All of us at the Dublin Seminar join our colleagues across the history community in mourning the devastating sudden loss of Tom Kelleher. Tom was most recently Historian and Curator of Mechanical Arts at Old Sturbridge Village, but he had “worn many hats, both literally and figuratively,” at O.S.V. in over 40 years.
Tom also participated in the Dublin Seminar for many years, most recently as a member of our Board of Trustees and treasurer. He brought thoughtfulness, good judgment, and gentle good humor to every conversation. The board and the whole Dublin Seminar community will deeply miss him.
Tom Kelleher served other historians’ organizations as well, including the Association for Living History, Farm and Agricultural Museums and the Early American Industries Association.
Our deepest condolences to Tom’s family and friends in this terrible loss.
